Spent a decent amount of time tonight focused on reworking my resume. I now have two versions: one specifically for game production and another for publishing production. Feels nice to finally have bespoke versions that are specialized to the roles I generally pursue and that I can actually spend less time plussing up and adjusting per role.

Accidentally hitting the “enter” key at the end of a job application form where there’s a free-text field to write in and it submits it half written instead of making a new line. *sobs*

Today I learned that my contract is finally coming to an end at my job. After a little over two and a half years, I’ll be unemployed going into the holidays and new year. While I am sad, I am also remaining hopeful and optimistic about the future and opportunities that lay ahead. To a degree, I am also grateful that this wasn’t a surprise; I knew it was coming and have been planning for it for quite some time. For now though, just going to focus on the immediate present and take it one day, one week, and one month at a time until I’m ready to focus on what’s next.

I guess this is what a career of 10+ years of game development keepsakes, momentous, and swag looks like if you stuffed it all in a bin.

Even still have my first paycheck from 2013 in here.

And now it’s time to start packing the second bin…
