The latest Game Informer came in the mail this morning. First time in a long while that I’ve just sat to read a magazine front-to-back in one sitting (okay, technically two… I stopped to eat lunch, but did get right back to it).

I’m very excited about GTA VI after reading their cover story on it. This game is going to be one I lose a lot of my time to once it’s out next month. I cannot wait to play it.

But between this, World of Warcraft: Forever, Stage Tour, and the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake (candidly, never played the original!)… it’s going to be a really fun rest of 2026 for gaming.

GTA VI’s launch trailer dropped today, and it is *such* a vibe. There’s just something about the energy the trailers that Rockstar has made for this game and the feelings they give off. I am so excited for November 19th.

Things are a doozy lately. I really want to find some time to write up my thoughts on AI and the video games industry. All the latest news around Epic’s latest internal mandates, what Xbox is doing with its new “Labs” announcement, and just the general state of things leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I have a lot of thoughts and just need to get them out of my head at some point I think my brain might boil over if I do not do so soon.

One of the things that truly scratches an itch in my brain is keeping up with activity trackers for the media I consume. Movies, games, TV, you name it and I try to keep a log of it all. Diablo IV releases on the Switch 2 today and I am (im)patiently awaiting it to go live on the Nintendo eShop. Apparently 12:30PM ET is the time from what I’ve heard, but that will not stop me from refreshing every 15-20 minutes.

There are simply just way too many good video games out right now and I don’t know how to actually find the time to play them all.

Having the intent of actually enjoying PAX as a consumer / fan is a really hard mindset shift after over a decade of exhibiting and working the show, but honestly it’s nice change to enjoy a con for what it is and what it offers.

My favorite time of year: On the road and off to PAX East!

I finally caved and purchased BALL x PIT digitally for the Switch, so this is an early “you’re welcome“ for when they announce the physical edition tomorrow that I really was just waiting for but couldn’t fight the itch any longer.
