Welcome! A new blog theme has been rolled out.

I have a lot of personal thoughts on the Xbox news today.

I’ve been a fan of the brand for well over 20 year. My game library is well over 500+ digital alone; working there has always been a long-time career goal of mine.

It’s sad to see where things have gone and the direction Microsoft is taking it.

At the end of the day, it’s just a billion dollar corporate business inside a trillion dollar company, so “it“ never really cared about me or “us” — but I’d be damned to deny that there were years where Xbox as a brand, ecosystem, and community was fundamental to some great moments in my life.

Always cheering on my friends, pals, and acquaintances that work there. There’s so much creativity in the people making the products and games under that banner still, but its sad to see what this era of capitalism is bringing to all forms of entertainment and the communities they used to cultivate.

yup! to some degree, maybe it’s good that whatever was still lingering and hanging on from that era is finally put to rest for something completely different to take its spot

I was there day 1 on Xbox, but they really lost me halfway through the 360 era when they stopped caring about gamers, and they nothing they've done since really resonated with me enough to jump back on board.

Kinda unbelievable a company with that much money and a good start has pissed it away
