A decade ago I would be so quick at setting up new websites, blogs, whatever it may be on the internet. My brain had (and still has) a knack for what’s a good feeling layout and how to get there. But these days with this blog, I have taken things *so* slow at setting things up to how I know I’d like them and what I’d consider “proper.”

Maybe it’s the perfectionism deep in me that I’ve actually started to break out of myself (I appreciate my therapist for this); these days I more easily accept that not everything needs to be at perfect 90-degree angles before being ready for primetime. It feels so counter to my internal programming, but kind of freeing at the same time…

Although my blog is coming together, it’s still quite a mess. The past few days have been constant in-the-moment observations of “oh, gotta fix this!” and “how did I miss that?”. Generally, all very scatterbrained.

I think this weekend’s goal needs to be: make a list of everything, prioritize it, and set aside some dedicated time to just jam on it all.

Slowly but surely…

Just made some updates to the blog here on WordPress and slowly setting things up. Hopefully nothing breaks, but I am excited to be making some changes. I am also now paying to host this blog (mostly for a few extra features and storage), which is a fun exciting step. Maybe spending money on this will encourage me to keep up with writing… sometimes that helps.
