What started out as “I have 20 minutes, just enough time to have a purposeful ‘bad run’ in Blue Prince” turned into an accidental 2-hour run in Blue Prince that resulted in finding Room 46 and rolling credits.
All I wanted to do is test some theories to solve some of the other smaller puzzles in the game, hopefully unlocking more clues towards exactly what I need to do to find the last room in the game. What ended up happening was 20 minutes into the run, as it was coming to an end, the right items, rooms, and amount of steps were left for one more hypothesis to be tested by me, and suddenly I realized what was about to happen: I was going to “beat” the game.
…And here I am. Now that I’ve completed the main objective of the game 16 hours in, it is time to see how many more I’ll commit to experience the rest of the game. There’s so much more puzzles to solve in my notebook and doors I haven’t even unlocked just yet.
Time will tell, as will also my patience for doing grade school level math on a dartboard and solving riddles in the parlor room.
